The boy who dug himself a hole...
So my coworker is going on vacation tonight and he will not be back until next wed...this is the same guy who is going to another job on March 3rd, lol. My boss just found this out and he is kind of irritated that aakesh is "irresponsible", but honestly, he had the vacation planned since like November, how was he to know that he will get a new job ASAP?! I probably would of done the same...this just shows you how people have very little loyalty to their "work"...here today, gone today. I know I could very easily go somewhere now and get a $10K raise without a problem...but I shall wait and get my damn MBA since my job will cover it...what is my problem?!! Why can't I get these GMATs!!!!??!!!!?!???!!!

In addition to this, my boss is also having a mid-life-crisis?! He just turned 40 recently and he feels old...he always tells me that I am only 9 years older than his son and 16 years younger than my boss, that also hits him deep. Boy, I hope I wont feel like that when I am his age...he then said something very disturbing, well this is the story: My boss' colleague - Yvonne, got a promotion, she is a VP of investments now (wheras before she was just a Director like steve). This lady went to Brown Univ and majored in math and she only has a Bachelors, but b/c she went to an Ivy league school, she did not need to get her MBA...my boss got his BA & MBA @ RU and now he is patiently waiting for a promotion for anything, currently he is the director of system design... He is also jealous that her kids are getting straight A's & her oldest daughter also got into Brown Univ and she got like a near perfect score on her SATs. I guess Steve is jealous that her kids are doing so well and that her family as a whole looks so much "better" than his...I was like WOW. I cannot believe he told me this. How can you say that about your kids?!?! They aren't good enough just cuz they are not getting straight As or going to Harvard?!?!!? or whatever!? That is the biggest diss I have ever heard from him. If his kids or wife found out what he had said they would be so hurt. He did say he loves his family but he wishes things would of been better...how can you be jealous of Yvonne? She is a WASP, she and her family was bred to do well in school and stuff. I have learned to accept that. There is a thick line between people like me and Steve and those people. I am sure her kids had no life cuz she hired tutors for them and everything has to be about perfection. They go to a blue ribbon school district and I was #4 in a regular old small town USA. I cannot believe my boss said that he wishes his kids were "smart"... book smarts mean nothing...I think that my boss is super intelligent and very "anal", he can research anything and write a 5 volume novel about it the next day and I am sure that his kids have that type of "intelligence", lol, but the fact that he wishes that his family was "different" and "better" makes me not want to look up to him as much... what gives?

Anywho, today is a slow day. I called 1800flowers yesterday and I got new flowers today, but guess what, the stems were broken again, lol. Also, since this was a re-order of the flowers I got on Vday, how come these flowers are a different color? These are dark pink, the other ones where white/baby pink?! Eh, I know Harry ment well, but this just shows you how some businesess will cut corners and try to get as many shipments out without looking at the quality of their product...the economy is out of shape and out of scale...I want to take a nap now.
